Luke 18:16-17

Good morning!

Luke 18:16-17: But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

My church has another group of people down in Honduras right now doing God's good work. They are loving on children, helping in any way they can, working on the tilapia ponds, and praying for those in need. Our Promise Home Orphanage will be built soon and these children who are living in squalor in the current state run orphanage will finally have a nice place to grow and be loved. Two of the group are my mother and my brother. Words cannot describe the feeling I get when I see pictures on Facebook of them together, working and loving on these children. This one picture got me good! And it reminded me of this verse where Jesus rebuked the people for not letting the children come to Him. When I look into these children's faces, I see the Kingdom of God in all of it's innocence and wonderment. I know my mother's and brother's lives will forever be changed and they will never forget those hugs they shared and those prayers they prayed. I hope this picture brings you as much joy and peace as it has brought me!
