Good morning!
Psalm 40:1-3: I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.
This verse describes exactly what happens when you accept Jesus into our heart and are saved. You cry out to Him in desperation, with an open and repentant heart. He turns immediately to you, hears you and touches your life. He lifts you out of the suffocating quick sand that you were existing in. He brings you out of the dirt and filth and you feel clean again. Only used to feeling shaky and unsure, you are surprised when He sets your feet on solid ground and you can finally stand tall for all the world to see. Your old language is replaced by a new song of praise. Liberation feels so good that all you want to do is climb to a mountaintop and shout your new song for all the world to hear.
If you think you are stuck in mud and slime so deep that you can never get out, think again. God CAN pull you up and He CAN bring you out. There is nothing too big for God to extract. There is no mess too dirty that God can not only clean, but make it so that it looks as if it were never there in the first place. There is no condition that can keep God from making your feet stand sure and walk with purpose for all eternity.
He can bring you up.
He can bring you out.
He can clean you up.
He can help you stand.
He can put a new song in your heart.
The old can pass away; He can make all things new. All you have to do is cry out and watch Him turn.

Psalm 71:8, 23
Good morning!
Psalm 71:8, 23: My mouth is full of praise and honor to You all day long. My lips will shout for joy when I sing praise to You, because You have redeemed me.
I love this song so much. When I sing it, I truly feel like my lips shout for joy! Because I am no longer the person that I was, my mouth is full of praise. I could go on all day telling you the stories of how He has redeemed me. I pray this song becomes one of your favorites to sing to Him.

Zephaniah 3:17
Good afternoon!
Zephaniah 3:17: The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.
This is one of my favorite Scriptures in the Bible. I know I have done this verse before the blog started but it just brings a smile to my face!
I really look forward to my mornings before the kids get up. I can pray, read, journal...whatever I want to do. By 7:00 or 7:30, I usually know what Scripture will be the Quick Word of the day and I start writing. I am usually done an hour later, just about when the kids are getting up. I then go spend the rest of the morning with them...in a perfect world! This morning did not go as planned! You know when they are up before 7:00, it's not going to be a good day. I really did try to read my Bible in there with them, but once a few pages had been ripped, I knew it wasn't going to happen! How dare I not give my full attention to them?! :)
They slowly turned into monsters and lunchtime couldn't come soon enough! Finally, I had them eating and I decided to end the morning on a good note. I brought out my laptop and pulled up on YouTube some worship videos and let them watch them. I sang to them and we all praised the Lord together. I cried as I watched them raising their hands high towards the sky. I know they don't know what they are doing yet, they are just mimicking Mommy but they will one day!
And just like that, my monsters disappeared and we were laughing, singing and dancing. God quieted us with His love and I know He was singing right along with us! It's amazing what a little worship can do. It's amazing how much better you feel when you step out of the way and let God move in and love on you.
This will be one verse my children will know by heart...God is mighty to save! He takes GREAT delight in you!
Enjoy this video that we watched today and I hope it blesses you like it blessed us this morning!
