Good evening and Happy New Year!
Revelation 21: 5: Then the One seated on the throne said, "Look! I am making everything new." He also said, "Write, because these words are faithful and true."
For whatever reason, I am looking forward to this new year of 2010 than any other year I can remember. I think the last couple years have been such a blur for me. I was in survival mode, raising newborn, then infant, and now toddler triplets. I now have terrible two's to deal with but for the most part, we've got it down. Three doesn't scare us so much anymore. We just roll with the punches and as a team, Kris and I figure a way to handle things. I don't stress about them as much anymore and life seems to have settled down. Those are scary words to type...I may be jinxing myself here!
So with all of that said, 2010 looms shiny and bright in front of me. The unknown no longer scares me...it's now an exciting surprise! I believe change is gonna come...He is making everything new. His words are faithful and true. Miracles will be plentiful. Blessings will flow freely. Businesses will grow and be fruitful. Ministries will expand like wildfire and what was once a small group will reach worldwide. Love will break down walls and infuse hearts. Passions will increase...wisdom will guide us...favor will flow. New is coming.
What "new" thing are you waiting for? Write it down because His word is faithful and true! Have a safe New Year and I can't wait to start another year of Quick Word's with you. It's such a blessing for me to share with you in this blog and I hope this is only the beginning!

Matthew 18:12-14
Good morning!
Matthew 18:12-14: "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, I tell you the truth, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should be lost."
I love this Parable because I can just see God with His flock and then seeing one of His children wandering away. How sad He must be and upset that they are now lost. The cool thing is, that sheep may not know where it is but God does. We may lose our way and not be able to find God but He always sees where we have wandered off to.
I remember as a little girl having a Children's Bible and reading it, being fascinated with the stories and pictures. I was ready to learn more but never got the opportunity. Divorce happened and division ruled my life there on out. And if you do not know the Lord, then things just get worse after that happens. I was a sheep that was once innocent and with God, but wandered away and never knew it. I thought those were just stories in that book...no one told me the Truth.
But oh how happy the Lord was when I finally was found by Him! That night as I laid in bed and prayed that prayer of salvation, Heaven rejoiced as I returned to the flock. I wish it would have been different. I wish as a young girl, someone would have told me the Truth and led me to God's love. I imagine I would have been spared a lot of heartache and trouble. But God has used those lost years of mine and turned them around for good. Now I am able to help people, other sheep who have wandered away, find their way Home again.
You may not even know you are lost, but you know something is not right. There has to be more to this life than this. Well there is! There is a mighty God who is watching and waiting for you. He will leave His flock to come find you and will be so happy when you finally love Him back!

John 14:5-6
Good morning!
John 14:5-6: Thomas said to him, "Lord, we don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?" Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."
Most people can really relate to the words in the song, Amazing Grace. "I once was lost, but now I'm found. Was blind, but now I see." Without Jesus, I had no clue where I was going. I remember vividly after I got married, my step-mom asked me what I was going to do. Was I going to stay in this job or go back to school? What was I going to do with my life? Didn't I have a plan? She was worried about me and those are important questions to ask. I guess I thought getting married was the fix it solution. I thought it was going to solve the emptiness that I felt inside. Of course it did not, and six months after I got married, when I tried to picture my future, all I could see was darkness. Honestly, I tell you that I was sitting at my desk in our little apartment one day, looking out the window and trying to envision in my mind my future, and I couldn't see a thing. I am a really good daydreamer too, but I could come up with nothing. I remember thinking that was really strange. My mind had never been black before. I am almost certain it was so black so that I could finally realize Who could make it light.
Jesus is the way. Whatever train He is moving on, trust me you want to catch it! Jesus is the truth. Everything else you try to cling to will fail you, but His Word never disappoints. Jesus is the life. You are lost until you find Him and are blind until you see the Light. Following His way and truth and life brings you to God the Father. How awesome is it that through Jesus, we can know God Himself!? There is no other God besides Him and Jesus provides the ladder to get to Him...for all eternity!
Do you not know where you are going? Have you lost your way and are struggling to get back? Cry out to Jesus and He will show you the way. He will show you the truth. And He will show you the life you were always meant to live! Come out of that darkness and join me in the Light.

1 Timothy 2:3
Good morning!
Welcome to my new weekly installment of Winning Souls Wednesdays! Every Wednesday will be dedicated to winning souls for the Kingdom!
1 Timothy 2:3: This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
God not only wants all of His children to be saved, but He wants us all informed with truth instead of continuing to believe the Devil's lies.
I remember hearing the truth from my mom and step-dad and other people over the years about God. I really did believe them but the lies I had always hung onto were louder than the truth. I really believed that I would be in a prison if I got saved, not being able to do anything or have fun. The truth is I was set free once I was saved and never wanted to do anything that I used to ever again. Those sinful desires were gone. I was a new creation and it felt really good!
Another lie I believed was that I was ordinary and that being a college drop-out and minimum wage earner was the best it would ever get for me. I saw no future for myself other than lackluster and sub-par. I think this is what held me back for so long.
In Christ, I am now a wife, mother of triplets, author, photographer, and a prayer warrior with a helper's heart. My life is far from lackluster...the Devil is such a liar! There are no limits to what God can do through me and He is not done with me yet!
Stop believing the lies today and hear the truth. God wants ALL men to be saved and to KNOW the truth.
ALL means YOU!!

James 1:17-18
Good morning!
James 1:17-18: Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.
I bet we've all heard of this Scripture but I always seem to read passed verse 18. I can look all around me at every single good and perfect gift He has given me and can now see that it was given with a purpose. He created us to be examples of Him. We are His firstfruits for all mankind to look upon and see His truth! Gifts are given not just for you to be blessed, but for you to bless others with.
For example, I love taking pictures and I know the gift I have is from God. I've never taken photography classes or been classically trained. But He has given me the natural ability and I take it from there! Hearing people's comments about their pictures and seeing them so filled with joy is reward enough for me. Making money becomes secondary to seeing people blessed by my gift!
Another example is my African children I support every month. We don't have lots of money lying around but what we do have, I give back to help two families who are much more needy than I could ever think of being. Getting their letters in the mail and seeing the pictures they draw me warms my heart and I am blessed over and over again!
And lastly, you wouldn't think my children would be a gift for anyone else but I found out this weekend, that is not entirely so. We took the kids out to eat at Red Lobster Friday night and of course we attract a lot of attention. As we were leaving, an older lady who was sitting near us and was watching us the entire time, came up to me and asked if they were triplets. I said, "Yes Ma'am!" She told me how beautiful they were and thanked me for the dinner entertainment! She wasn't being rude or funny, she was serious! Watching my babies play and laugh and throw stuff on the ground was a joy to her and she was grateful to me for sharing them with her. That certainly wasn't my intention but I was glad that we made her night.
The more I live, the more I realize all the meaning and purpose God has behind everything He does. So don't hide your gifts and keep them to yourself. God created you for a reason...to be an example of His truth...a vessel that gives back to His creation.
Have a wonderful week everyone!
