Good evening!
1 John 5:14-15: Now this is the confidence we have before Him: whenever we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked Him for.
Too bad it doesn't say "we have what we have asked Him for instantly"! That would be nice huh?!
In my experience, it usually doesn't happen instantly. In my experience, things that are special are worth the wait. In my experience, knowing He hears me and cares for me is more important than getting what I want, when I want it.
If you truly value God's will for your life over your own, then praying for what you want or need will happen. Trust Him. Have that confidence that at the perfect timing, He will come through for you. Be glad that your prayers don't just hit the ceiling. You don't have to go far when you are asking according to His will. He will hear you. He is listening. You will have what you asked Him for...in His perfect will and timing.
I hope this gives you confidence today. Keep believing and praying because He is still listening.

Psalm 93:4
Good morning!
Psalm 93:4: Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea - the LORD on high is mighty.
This Scripture made me want to be in Hawaii, staring at the sunrise and watching the huge waves crash onto the shore. If you've never been to Hawaii and seen for yourself the awesome power and beauty of the waves there, then you really need to go! I found an awesome picture that I thought would illustrate this Scripture.
It takes my breath away how beautiful this picture is and at the same time, I would be scared to death to be out there! You can just imagine what is on the other side of this picture, what you can't see in the back of that wave. It looks like it is building and building and growing and growing! So strong and mighty and able to destroy anything in it's path. Yet the Lord on high is mightier.
So if you feel like you are the person on that surf board, about to get hammered by the ever chasing thunder of the great waters, put your trust in Him for He is able to handle all of your needs. He is mighty and tough enough to fight all your battles for you. Nothing is impossible for Him. He can silence these waters in a split second if need be.
And if looking at this picture doesn't scare you and all you see is beauty and magnificence, than know that how beautiful this wave is, the Lord on high is even more lovely and perfect. He is awesome and spectacular! I remember being on a beach in Hawaii, staring at the waves in the sunset. I doubt I will ever forget how beautiful it was. But it makes me smile knowing the Lord is even more breathtaking and worthy of my praise!
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Psalm 9:9-10
Good morning!
Psalm 9:9-10: The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.
My Pastor preached a great sermon yesterday about tragedy and crises in your life. We've been praying for miracles lately in our church and he said he still believes God is bringing miracles, they are coming! But what happens when what we've been praying for just doesn't happen? Things just don't always turn out the way you thought they would. You've prayed and prayed and believed and believed and still, it doesn't happen. Instead tragedy comes and you are blindsided with grief. It is so easy to let those times pull you away from God. You can become bitter and angry for your prayer not being answered the way you think it should have been. Some people hold all their emotions inside of them. Some people don't accept help from others. These were all good points from Pastor and I started to think how each one of them had been me in the past. I've done all these things and never handled tragedy very well.
But the most important thing to remember through it all he said, was that Jesus is STILL King! Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Seeking after Him is the only way we can make it through the crisis. He is our refuge and stronghold in times of trouble. Don't let your trust in Him falter. Don't get bitter. Don't give up. Keep seeking after Him. Grieve your loss. Lean on others and let them help and support you. Press in to Him instead of pull away. Even though you don't understand why things happen the way they do, He does understand. Jesus is still King and if you let Him, He'll strengthen you and enable you to do all things!
Pastor also mentioned tragedy to someone might not be a tragedy to someone else. We all face different struggles and just because yours may not seem as huge as someone elses doesn't mean God doesn't see your pain too. Bring it to Him and let Him care for you and protect you. Trust that He knows all and knows what is best for you. He will bring you to the other side; this tragedy won't be yours forever.
I pray no one has to face a tragedy or crisis this week, but if you do, hold onto this Scripture and message. He will never leave you there. Trust in Him...Seek Him. He is still King!

Psalm 84:10, 12
Good morning!
Psalm 84:10,12: Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. O LORD Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in you.
Do you have a special place where you like to get alone with God? Is there a particular spot where you had an encounter with God, were changed, and no other place feels as special to you? The first house Kris and I bought together was a little 1400 sq. foot, 3 bedroom house, big enough for us and Buster! I really loved that house, mostly because of the room in the front of the house that I called the pink room. It was my room, and I decorated it with a shabby chic flair! I painted the walls a brownish-pink, antique iron bed, and cute accessories. It was perfect! I used to love to lay on the bed in there, look out the window and listen to the huge tree that was in the front yard sway in the wind. I spent a lot of time in that room. I prayed a lot and studied a lot. It was where I could get alone with God, and for some reason, I felt closer to Him in there. I went through a lot in that house and God was there with me through it all. He stayed with me in there, gave me visions, spoke words of wisdom to me, held my hand and dried my tears. I'll never forget that room and all that God did with me in that room. It is sacred to me and even though it's been years since I've lived in that house and I have traveled to many exotic places since, better was one day in the pink room than thousands elsewhere! Nothing compares to Him! I haven't found another room like that one but that is just because I don't make the time to find it. Sure I am busy chasing around 3 toddlers but I still can find the time to enter into His courts. I urge you to find that special place where it is just you and Him. Take a weekend off from everything and everyone else and go spend time away with God. Make a room just for Him and determine to meet Him there, every time!
All of the visions and words of wisdom have come true that were spoken in the pink room. He has proven Himself faithful to me and I believe and trust Him with all of my heart. I certainly call myself...blessed!
