Isaiah 26:7

Good afternoon!

Isaiah 26:7: The path of the righteous is level; O upright One, you make the way of the righteous smooth.

We took a trip to Florida a few summers ago and to get there from Texas, we drove through Louisiana and Mississippi. Nothing against those states, but they have the worst roads I have ever driven on. The roads were uneven and rigid. They were old and worn. We bumped along and it seemed like it took forever to get through those states. Sure we got to where we wanted to go but it was uncomfortable and rough and I was sure our car would need body work once we got home!
I think our walk in life sometimes feels the same way. We get to where we are going but are left battered, tired, and needing a chiropractor once we arrive! But God promises a level, smooth and even path for those who love and fear Him. For those who make a point to do good and live to honor Him, He makes the way equal, calm and unwavering. Of course that does not mean we will never see hardships come our way or obstacles that we must overcome. This verse doesn't say He will make our way perfect. But it sure is easier to get where you are going when you are driving down a new, smooth and even road. I'll take a few hills to climb, deal with cars to pass, endure traffic jams and even hauling across long distances. God makes my road level and smooth and easy to drive on as long as I live for Him and give Him the glory!
Have an awesome weekend everyone!
